Mid-week post!

Hey!

Onsdag kväll och sitter just nu framför tvn för en relaxing kväll. Kroppen känns lite sliten från footballen. Antingen en liten sträckning i låret eller något annat som är knas. Har lite smärtor i knät, låret och ljumsken. Men inget som kommer få mig att sluta spela!

Den här veckan har varit rätt så soft. Började med att vi var lediga på måndagen. Riktigt skönt med en sovmorgon! Jag åkte in till city vid lunch och hade lunch med Hope. Vi åt Chipotle, världens helt klart godaste snabbmatskedja!! Sedan lämnade hon mig i skolan vid 3 då jag hade träning.

En riktigt cool sak som hänt är att vi har haft en snubbe som har vart med på våran Becoming a global citizen class. Han heter Omékongo. Han är en professionell public speaker, poet och rappare. Hans föräldrar är från Kongo och han är uppvuxen i gettot i Boston. Han åker idag runt över hela världen och pratar om problemen i Kongo. Det är helt sjukt vad som händer där... Över 6 miljoner människor har dödats av rebeller och liknande och kvinnor våldtas hela tiden. Allt detta pga av att vi i västvärlden vill åt deras mineraler som finns där. Att vi behöver mineralerna som de har för t.ex. Mobiler, datorer och annan electronic gör så att våra regeringar blundar för detta problem. Han är sjukt inspererande och en riktig förebild! Har vart riktigt kul att få ha han i våran klass och höra hans story. Hans dikter är sjukt bra aswell!! Det finns massa saker om han på youtube och hans dikter, sök bara på Omékongo så ska det komma upp. Rekommenderar starkt att ni tar en titt på hans work och på detta problem...

En annan riktigt grym sak är att jag och Will bokade biljetter till Virginia Tech's match på lördag!! Virginia Tech är virginias andra stora college. Det är ca 1.5 timme från oss. V-tech är ett bättre lag en UVA och inramningen och stämningen under matcherna är tydligen på en heeelt annan nivå!! Så ska bli riktigt fett att åka dit och se dem spela :-D
